Yohrtzeit

From Shturem

I believe he was Rav Gifter's Melamed?
Rav Avigdor Miller's mentor?
Anybody with more info?

Obviously that's not his claim to fame, but it does make for interesting conversation.

  2. no, Mottel, that was not my intention at all. I was merely bringing out the point that in today's Shpitz Chabad culture a great Chossid would be looked at as such. Sad.

  3. I actually thought so . . . but either way, our comments reach to the same conclusion.

You refer to having such illustrious talmidim such as R'Avigdor Miller and R'Mordche Gifter in a very insulting way. These two yidden had thousands of talmidim each.Taught torah and middos to.
Is this the way, you Lubabs refer to rabbonim who don'ty agree with your opinions? If so don't be surprised when others have comments that don't flatter yours.
    N.B. Isn't dad a Telshe talmid?
    Nu, some basic hakoras hatoiv.....?

  5. Nisht a Telzer:

you're a paranoid non-Telzer. All I meant was the exact opposite. I meant to say that Reb Avigdor and Rav Gifter were went on to other institutions and became Torah leaders. Rav Axelrod was a Chassidishe Yid before coming to America.
