A reminder. Today, 71 years ago.

It was a very special day. And still is.

  1. Reb YY z"l was a great chasidishe manhig yisroel! I know little of the last rebbe but does anyone know of a chasidishe rebbe who changed his garb to modern looking ones, in chasidus always put the emphasis on chasidishe levish no?

  2. In veiw of the discussions about other rebbes it is only fair to raise the controversies concerning his rescue and the people he left behind.

    You seem very ignorant,
the Chasidus of the Rebbe you are discusing , is not shtriemel bemokam tefilin chasidus and not lukshen kugel from matan torah. It is a total different toras hachasidus, so if you believe the other stuff is chasidus, then he was definitely a Misnaged

I guess for chassidim in your view G&G is a more important store than Biegeleisen Zeh nachon ?

  8. R'Hirshel.
Two stories that you have not (yet?)touched.
R'Levins book about the previous Rebbe that is coming out, and some chapters have been published. In it you can see how instrumental R'Chaim Lieberman was in saving, yet, he has been blacklisted.Additionally the contrasts between what was done to save and what was (not?) done after .

Second story is Kfar Chabad the "unofficial" official mouthpiece of anti meshichist appearing to very much accept the Meshichist movement as a legitimate part of Chabad.

    Will you address these things?

"appearing to very much accept the Meshichist movement as a legitimate part of Chabad."
this Chabadniks are not as blood hungry as the Ungarishe, they love their history of the tielung, eventough it is 1 of the saddest stories in Jewish history. You are ostracizing a limb of Keneses Yisroel. So what ever deal they can do to avoid a Chabad tielung, is being done by certain non ungarische Jews.

  10. sorry Bro, chabad as a movement is a teilung on its own, but for different ideas, goals and results,

  11. teilung in Lubavitch would look like this:
Ortodox: Serious non-meshichist hasidei Habad. This would include R. Heller's group and anyone else serious about hasidus and yiddishkeit.
    Neologue: All Mishichist groups lemineihem.
Status-Quo: Normal BT's and old time American Torah Vodaas types who like a little softball but are staunchly anti-meshichist.

This is the only solution for establishing some semblance of normalcy in Lubavitch.

  12. The only solution .------
How about trying another one , proceeding with the selction process of a new leader of Chabad .

Chabad is not looking for the Final Solution, even it would make life easier, the Rebbe never took the easy way,
