    did he have bimah bwemtza in his shul?

    Rav Shlomo Carlebach shlita relatess in his fathers biography that Rav Shmuel Salant didnt sign on the cherem against those yekishe shuls because of chacham Berneys shul had the rov wear galach kleider and didnt have bimah b'emtza but through those 2 "accomodations" he saved orthodoxy in that shul.
