The undisputed "Chief Rabbi"

Well, for all those who were still holding out hope that Chabad would somehow disappear from the Ukraine and the FSU, sorry guys.

    Only Chabad are 'allowed to appoint rabbis in the former Soviet Union, even if someone else was already there

    I assume you mean Rabbi Bleich? was he appointed for life?

    The Rabbonim from Kehillos in Ukraine voted for Rabbi Chaikin.

    It's not glee - its cynicism.
    Actually I come from a Lubavitcher family, but I have given up on that scene and joined the ranks of the great undefined. It's the cynicism has led me to the moniker "Go Snags."
