"מי גדול ממשה שלא נתעסק בו אלא המקום, שנאמר ויקבר אותו בגיא, לא על משה בלבד אמרו אלא
על כל הצדיקים, שנאמר והלך לפניך צדקך כבוד ה' יאספך"
Remember
this post?, I guess the Rebbe Rashab considered the Baal Shem Tov one of those Tzaddikim.
.............א מזל אז מ'לערנט סוטה אין ספירה
So why then is it a Chiddush by the Baal Shem Tov davke?
ReplyDeleteHere's a question for ya:
ReplyDeleteAre latter-day Tzaddikim comprable to early-day Tzaddikim? How far does the comparision go? Rishonim? Gaonim? Tannaim? Neviim? Moshe Rabbeinu?
Nu HT? No answer to that question? It may be a worthwile starting point for a post/thread?
ReplyDeletewell,
ReplyDeletehas the definition of "tzaddik" changed? why should it be any different then?
HT,
ReplyDeleteHave you thought much about this?
Lets consider:
Let's take the AR's definition of Tzaddik (No Y"H), and agree that that definition hasen't changed - but, does that include Ruach Hakodesh? Based on the AR, Tzaddik is a madreiga, but what that comes with should be considered...
Do Tzaddikim make mistakes?
Are Tzaddikim all-knowing
Are Tzaddikim angel-like in there powers?
ec
ReplyDeletewhy should ruach hakodesh decide on a man's tzidkus, if it goes with the territory then every Tzaddik has it anyway, and if not then is it necessary?
