The idiot who spammed this blog seems to have scared everybody away, I'm not quite sure why. Is it the fact that he was Machshil all of you with Nivul Peh? So that's why even after I shut him down nary a comment (or almost nary) in 5 days?
Are we to give in to human debris like him?
If that's the will of the people I count on then so be it, but is it?
Let me know, otherwise he wins, and we don't want that.
Tzig, getting a little paranoid? People are all running around in the pre-pesach daze. Not much time left for blog commenting these days. I, for one, am not bothered by moderated comments. And a snag menuvol doesn’t bother me either; even when they speak in the outwardly proper manner, I never forget that on the inside they are rotten menuvolim.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reassuring words, it was just a little worrisome to me that all of a sudden commenting was almost nil.

ReplyDeleteI take offense at your calling Jews you don't even know 'rotten menuvolim'
Tzig
You are expected to express some protest at the above posters' nastiness if you want to be considered fair minded and even handed.
"commenting almost nil"
ReplyDeleteAnd I would not expect much until after pesach. Hag kosher vesammeach to one and all.
I still read you, Hirshel :)
ReplyDeleteThere have been less posts drom you as well . . .
ReplyDeletewhen did the site ever get much traffic? this style of communicating (blogging)doesn't give much gratification; even if a friend runs it, its very impersonal...

ReplyDeleteI would advise you to check the stats of this blog. They've been steadily going up, with between 200-300 UNIQUE users daily, besides for returning visitors. That number has not changed since the recent attacks. What has changed is the number of comments. As far as blogs being impersonal, I'm not quite sure what you had in mind when looking for a more "personal" blogging experience.
wasn't 'looking' for a more personal blog experience..just describing the phenomina of blogging...since no one else is here now, you and i are 'chatting' which is more fun than blog posting. Posting is like 'urinating into the wind'. most people express their thoughts and no one interacts with the thought, and if they do it hard to follow/disjointed because comments are not answered in real time, etc...So whats compelling about blogging? You have a mission...we don't. This is entertainment...but strained entertainment because of its very dynamics....nothing personal...applies to other blogs too (me thinks)......
