I see what you mean, and maybe he just looks very emaciated to me, which is possible after a year in BB. I'm just not sure. I have a shtikkel Shaychus to him too.
The guys in the pictures have pretty well grown beards and look pretty healthy, I would question if this is a picture a few months after such devastating events
It is not the Veitzner Rav. It is his older brother R'Chaim Meisels zt"l the Sorvasher Rav who later on had a Bais Medrash in Detroit and after that (Appox 1960) purchased the Amshenover Bais Medrash on 53rd Street corner 15th Avenue in Boro Park. He was niftar about 20 years ago and was suceeded by his son Rav Shabse Meisels z"tl.
I am almost positive that the one in the middle is the Weitzener Rav Rav Meisels, later of Chicago.
