A wise man once said.....
"Racism is man's gravest threat to man - the maximum hatred for a minimum reason."
"All it takes is one person… and another… and another… and another… to start a movement"
"Wonder rather than doubt is the root of all knowledge."
"A religious man is a person who holds G-d and man in one thought at one time, at all times, who suffers no harm done to others, whose greatest passion is compassion, whose greatest strength is love and defiance of despair."
"G-d is of no importance unless He is of utmost importance."
"Just to be is a blessing. Just to live is holy."
"Self-respect is the fruit of discipline, the sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself."
"Life without commitment is not worth living."
"In regard to cruelties committed in the name of a free society, some are guilty, while all are responsible."
"Remember that there is a meaning beyond absurdity. Be sure that every little deed counts, that every word has power. Never forget that you can still do your share to redeem the world in spite of all absurdities and frustrations and disappointments."
"When I was young, I admired clever people. Now that I am old, I admire kind people."
"Awareness of symbolic meaning is awareness of a specific idea; kavvanah is awareness of an ineffable situation."
CAN YOU GUESS WHO?
Sounds like the "Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth," Rabbi Sacks.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe R' Adin Steinsaltz?
your buddy Harry Maryles...
ReplyDeleteReb Zalman (Shachter)?
ReplyDeleteHirshel, we can guess all day... how about a clue... maybe time perid?
ReplyDelete. . . it was not the "Rebbe," as his movement is racist.
ReplyDeleteHint:
ReplyDeleteAJH
AJH is not a hint, it's the answer.
ReplyDeleteI liked ABC's guess best!
ReplyDelete:-)
Who is AJH?
ReplyDeleteAbraham Joshua Heschel- Why the heck is everyone so obsessed with him recently?
ReplyDeleteI see that he gets a whole lot more respect then those marching alongside with Arabs today.
ReplyDeleteAbraham Joshua Heschel all the way . . . the picture gives it away though
ReplyDeleteYogi Berra
ReplyDeleteabish brodt? Weissmandl? Chaskel Besser?
ReplyDelete>"Racism is man's gravest threat to man - the maximum hatred for a minimum reason."
ReplyDeleteDespite the cleverly crafted seifa, the statement is false. Racism is not the gravest threat. It is certainly true that a great number of leftist ideologues consider it to be so.
All Nazis may be racists.
But not all racists are Nazis.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was the great Rav Yonah Lazar? Why has he stopped commenting his daas Tayreh on this blog? Is it true that BT is moving to Lakewood?
ReplyDeleteYes, the BT, Yonah Lazar, is thinking about moving to Lakewood to establish a dental practice. It is also true that if he does, he will fail miserably as (1) there are millions of dentsits in Lakewood; (2) he has no real experience; (3) he is a crazy BT who thinks he is a Rav; (4) he is one of the most insecure and nasty people I have ever known.
ReplyDeleteSense is one thing that turd lacks. But if somehow he develops it, I am sure he won't come to Lakewood. He is far better off in places like Passaic where people just don't know better and have far lower standars.
PT Barnum?
ReplyDeletenice to hear from you BP unbound.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that this Yonah Lazar is so hated on this blog and others?
ReplyDeleteAs one of Lazar's many "victims" (i.e., one who had to sit through several episodes of verbal abuse from a mediocre toothpuller and BT who thinks he is a Rav even though he--a guy with a girlfriend up to a year before he got married--started learning when he got married), I can write with certitude that to know him is to hate him. The more you know him, the more you hate him. And the more you hate him, well, the more you go nuts when you read his incredibly offensive posts.
ReplyDeleteThat's it.
