As least not in an as serious אופן as RTHW.
First he speaks to Steve Savitsky.
Then he wants us to know about the Torah. The Rebbe's Torah. Because truthfully the Rebbe's Torah - as is true every Tzaddik - is the means by which to connect to him. It's nice to hear stories and mofsim and even to be inspired by the בכיות on a גרינעם מיטוואך. But it's all about the Teyreh. Then I happen to open the Jewish Action today and what do I see? 20 pages and a special section on the Rebbe! The section entails the following:
1) An unparalleled leader - Rabbi Jonatan Sacks
2) Why the Lubavitch movement thrives in the absence of a living Rebbe
3) The Rebbe and the Rav - Rabbi A. Rakeffet-Rothkoff
4) The Contribution of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to Torah Scholarship
It's just nice to see.
Is Moreinu R' Rakeffet's article online yet?

At the same token I haven't find yet a chosid of the rebbe that gimel tamuz does not electrify him to the core...

ReplyDeleteTzig,
ReplyDeleteCould you please post the Rakeffet article, for those who are interested. (I among them)
Thanks
jonathon saks is either the dumbest smart man or the smartest dumb man in the world.
ReplyDeleteDovy, I empathize with your pain.
ReplyDeleteDovy
ReplyDeleteis this your soundbite, or a famous quote and you applied it Rabbi Saks.
BTW,
What makes a man dumb??
too much knowledge?
low IQ? or writing a article praising Lubavitcher Rebbe?
thanks tzig, where can we get the other articles?
ReplyDeletestam: weinreb says the rogatchover was rov of rogatchov...never happened of course, and he died in late '30s not early or mid.
but very nice talk and article.
nothing to do with this article, i didn't read what he said about the LR. he is a very dumb man because everything i've ever heard from is incredibly uninformed and stupid. but he makes himself sound smart to dumb people by using fancy prose.
ReplyDeleteIt's called chanifa. Do you know how many of the ou employees are lubavitchers? The moderne think things like this will make them appear more broadminded.
