Why is Mishpacha Mag going after the "Peleg"
Beats me. I think they're alienating many readers with this article. No need to bring it up at all. They don't gain readers from publishing it. It's not like they're writing about Lubavitch of Reb Hershel Schechter and thus adding YU Yeshivishers or Lubavitchers to their readership. Here it's a lose-lose. Plenty of their readers are Mamshichisten and thus see Reb Shmuel as their mentor and leader. They support the demonstrations and are deeply hurt by the fact that their Yeshivishe brothers are selling them out. Just stick to the usual veyberishe issues and you'll be ok. You hear me Rabbi Grylak? I know from what I'm talking.
why nit ?

ReplyDeleteMamshichisten? is that the new buzz word
Not new and therefore not a buzz word
ReplyDeleteAre you really that dense? Do you not know the history?
ReplyDeleteFind out what Grylak's first writing job was. Find out who kicked him out. Find out what אמנת כנרת was and who fought it.
P. S. The mamshichisten (a term I heard over five years ago) would anyway not buy te mishpacha.
"Find out what Grylak's first writing job was. Find out who kicked him out. Find out what אמנת כנרת was and who fought it."
ReplyDeleteYes, Grylak was the original editor of Yated. It seems Nati Grossman replaced him. (He's written in Mishpacha against Nati previously.) What was the issue over? And who made this decision and why?
But what's ?אמנת כנרת
Some years ago, some not very bright characters decided that there was some kind of war between Charedim and chilonim in the middle east and they decided to convene a summit between representatives of the warring sides. They appointed themselves and met with some chilonim who were happy to hear that they represent their brethren in Chiloniism at a hotel at the Kinneret.
DeleteSome not very bright characters decided that this non-event was somewhat dangerous to the true hashkafa of the bright guys and wrote article after article denouncing their fellow not very bright characters.

Deletesorry I don't do politics.
ReplyDeleteWriting against those criminally insane gangsters of Peleg is an absolute no- brainer, how could a normal person defend this absolute gangster-ism,the only ones supporting this ZAKEN MAMRE are the crazies of the Aida Hachraidis
ReplyDeleteCHAIM
you are wrong
ReplyDeleteThe extreme guys in the USA who side with the Peleg guys are the same guys that are boycotting Ami and Mishpacha
So why not give them a good flick
lots of logic to this approach

DeleteSelling them about? The Peleg hypocrites and their leader (whose signature hasn't been accepted for years in many gemachim) are the biggest rodfim of the oilom hatoroh in the world. Naive American armchair zealots who understand nothing and for whom this is a big game need to be put in their place.

ReplyDeleteOne of the most well-known activists who works to rescue detainees from the courts by means of various legal means is Rabbi Shimon Shisha, who is a member of the Eida Charedis. He also assists detainees from the Peleg, many of whom were arrested during protests held in recent weeks.
ReplyDeleteShisha is considered to be familiar with the legal and military system and is active in this field and often serves as the attorney for the detainees before the enforcement authorities.
On Monday night, a number of yeshiva students were arrested at the induction center on Rashi Street. One of the demonstrators feared that there was an arrest of one for failing to report for service, one of whom was arrested without shoes.
Shisha arrived to address the situation and did indeed see one Yeshiva Bochur that was arrested without shoes. Without hesitation, he took off his own shoes and gave them to the detainee and he returned home without them.

The U.N. resolution on the State of Israel calls for The city of Jerusalem to become an International city!. since the current inhabitants of the city couldn't come to any local agreements, the U.S and by extension the U.N. will treat this conflict as the endless conflicts between the Jihadists vs. Sunnis which is the U.S. policy that they must coexist "polically" in the same semi-secular/semi-democratic Governments ultimately in Iraq as in Israel.
Political vacuums can be powerful, and the U.S. is moving into Jerusalem "permanently" occupying the current vacuum of peaceful 'international' leadership roles, just as it established a permanent presences in Baghdad after the conflicts to assure the peace between the Sunnis and the Jihadists in the "government". (note the Israeli Arabs are mostly Sunnis..).
Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum of Kiryas Joel on Saturday night at an event at the New York Expo Center in the Bronx condemned the announcement made on Wednesday at the White House by President Donald Trump.
ReplyDelete“We declare in the name of Haredi Judaism: Jerusalem, the holy city, will not be the capital of the Zionist state, even if the President of the United States says it is,” Teitelbaum said, Israel National News reported.
“Just as Haredi Jews did not recognize President Truman’s declaration in 1948 that Israel is the Jewish State, we don’t recognize it today,” he also said.

At least four Frum individuals from the New York area are missing a kidney, after going to Mexico for “Bariatric Surgery”. On of them is from Rockland County.
A highly credible source – including one of the victims – has confirmed to YWN that in all the incidents the victims didn’t feel well after returning to New York, and had some testing done. All of them were found to be missing kidney’s.
Many people have been flying to Mexico to have the procedure done there, as some insurance companies in the United States don’t easily cover the costs. Some patients get denied by their insurance company for the surgery in the U.S., and instead opt to have it done in Mexico for less than half the cost.
The average cost of bariatric surgery in Mexico by procedure is:
Lap Band – $3,000 to $6,500.
Gastric sleeve – $4,000 to $9,000.
Gastric bypass – $6,500 to $11,000.
A lap band surgery in the U.S. will cost anywhere between $10,800 and $30,000.
A gastric bypass surgery in the US costs $ 25,000–$35,000.
In the US an average gastric sleeve is priced at US $ 20, 000.
