Separated at Birth?

The guy on the right is sitting outside his home in New Orleans last year after Hurricane Katrina.

IMHO he's the spit and image of HaRav Mordechai Ashkenazi, the Rov of Kfar Chabad, even the beards match! I mean no disrespect, really, I just could not resist.

I tried to bring good profile shots so as to match the New Orleans guy.

What do you think?

  6. There's a story behind all this:
    (it's a bit gory)

The guy on the left, shirtless, is standing outside his home after Hurricane Katrina hit in New Orleans preparing food. He did not want to evacuate. The NYT made a "human interest" out of him.

Next to him זיצט א מיידל his g-friend, who's dressed כמנהג הצעירות בימינו so I needed to crop the picture. Anyway, last week tragedy struck (for her) when the Bocher, after a tumultous year lost it and killed her, chopped her up, and put her body parts in pots. He then went up to the roof of a hotel and jumped. He was kind enough to leave a suicide note stating those facts.

    Read about it here

  7. " A woman who identified herself as Priestess Miriam Chamani in the Voodoo Spiritual Temple and Cultural Center below the apartment said the couple had recently moved in. "You never know what's going on in people's minds," she said, incense wafting onto the sidewalk from her shop. "
    I love this quote.

  8. Reb Hirshel; I trust you may be feeling particularly bored when your postings descend to a level that they are indeed truly worthless. Perhaps, though it will be difficult, make a resolution to only check your blog/blog emails every other day instead of daily (and perhaps even more often). Don't fall too deep into the blogging trap - it will only be harder to extirpate yourself.
