I don't decry Lazar for meeting with non-Jewish religious leaders. I decry him for his thuggery.
ReplyDeleteI find it amazing that Lazar's association with a sitting President somehow makes him an accessory. That's like all Jews being to blame for Bill Clinton's indiscretions. I also find it amazing that people that no absolutely nothing about the FSU, other than what they read in questionable newspaper articles, should sit and condemn people they know nothing about!
ReplyDeleteI thought meetings like that are only a problem if they are focused on religion. Maybe they avoided that and focused on other things.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the problem to meet with them? R' Bleich doesn't vouch his agreement with islam or noytzrus by meeting with their representatives.
ReplyDeleteThat's the point. There IS nothing wrong with meetings of that nature, at least I don't think there is. But some people find problems when the delegation includes a certain Chabad Rabbi of Hungarian descent.
ReplyDeleteRabbi Bleich is the bomb!!!
ReplyDeleteMe and a bunch of bochurim got stuck in Kiev & no one was willing to help us (their own) and he came through for us in BIG way.
> Rabbi Bleich is the bomb!!!
ReplyDelete> he came through for us in BIG way.
Anonymous: Did he landed from the skies on a ukranian bomber?-) And seriously - he is really a good guy.
I would love to be able to link to this story. What is the URL for this particular post, can you help me out???
ReplyDeleteI'll try and find it again soon. IY"H
ReplyDeleteAttention all:
ReplyDeletenowhere did I mention anything about the good Rabbi's character, all I said was he's into interfaith meetings. A meeting with the Pope a while back comes to mind.

ReplyDeleteso how can it be that you found other inappropriate pictures?
ReplyDeleteHirshel, the link you posted (on Tuesday at 2:11:22 AM) goes to a page full of all sorts of unrelated pictures, not all of which may be appropriate for some people - and none of which seem to be the one you meant to post. I don't know what went wrong with your URL, but something clearly did.
