I guess what we can learn from this blurb is that it all depends who does what. The Brisker may be totally insincere about his stutter in Krias Shema, yet he's considered a Medakdek B'Mitzvos even though he may be being Over a Halochoh in Shulchan Aruch. The Breslover Baal Tshuveh, who was taught the Na-nach mantra, and considers it to be a direct line to Reb Nachman and G-d, is looked at like some kind of looney in a drug-induced haze.
What Chumra is involved in stuttering in Shema?
ReplyDeleteThank You loozy!
ReplyDeletewas once in 770. I heard a guy say y y y yich ch ch chi a a a a do eneyneyney nu mo mo mo moreinu vi vi vi virabeinu. I figured he was a brisker lubavicher.
ReplyDeleteYoue welcome , Im guessing Binyomin
ReplyDeleteOr maybe he just stuttered..... Not every one who stutter’s is a Brisker, but every Brisker stutters.
ReplyDeleteBut I have to say that the comparison although cute and funny, is nonetheless facile since one can state a fine Brisker distinction between the two. The brisker, in his neurotic mind is gripped by the fear that he didn’t pronounce the Mitzvah properly. He his therefore engaged in an act of properly dispensing with his Biblical duties, albeit in an unhealthy state of mind; However the Breslover is really engaged in nonsense, he his saying meaningless words uttered in an insane manner, lacking any religious legitimacy.
Th…a…nk…s
Then again, isn't the Breslover doing the same thing? Isn't he, in his neurotic existence, trying to connect to G-d, which is the same as Shema?
ReplyDeleteAnd to properly Briskerize it, isn't he fulfilling the Mitzvah of following the instruction of the sages of the generation?

ReplyDeleteNo, because its not Shema. Shemah is how its done. Na Nach is not.
