Benny Brown in the Chazon Ish book, writes that Rav Gorenchig was many times by the CI, he did not like him,based on some Doctor ... that was a CI house guy..

While some of you are ready to lambast R' Goren, apart from being a genius and a masmid, remember that his heroics during times of War were absolutely incredible and awe-inspiring. Read the stories. They make the hair on your neck stand up, and firmly place the rest of us about 100 miles lower than him in Madrega.

Anonymous you are foolish. In particular, when Rav Goren found out that Ariel Sharon's paratroopers didn't have kosher food, he tried to convince Sharon. Sharon thought and replied that if only one of his group wanted kosher, then they all would, but since none did, that was the end of it. So, unlike you and I, Rav Goren had an instant answer. He joined Sharon's troops, and also broke his leg during one trip. There is much more. I fear you are one of the great unread and your opinion is born out of sheer ignorance.
ReplyDeleteNot 5724 but 5721 or 5722. In 5723 the shul was completely finished and didn't have those rags hanging down the wall, these were there only during construction in 5721 & 5722.

ReplyDeleteI am looking for proof of this 'genius' of Goren. So far, he looks like an opportunist. It would seem that if people are offerred kosher food and refuse, the rule of הלעיטהו לרשע וימות should apply, and he broke his leg for no reason.
