  5. I did the film/translation. "Great synagogue" isn't the most exact term, "great assembly" would be closer. But most English speakers who don't know religious Jewish history have no idea what the difference is and wouldn't know that the "great assembly" was THE great assembly, in fact they wouldn't know it was a religious institution at all. So "great synagogue" was the closest I could do within the confines of subtitles. I'm relying on people who know Hebrew but not Yiddish to be able to figure out what's being referred to. In a document I'd put a gloss at the bottom but that can't be done in subtitles. Thanks for sharing the film Mr. "Tzig"

only his convertion to lubavitch had him becoming exposed to seforim chitoinim

  10. Hirshel Tzig: "and how does the Tzaddik (and "Malach") Lemel know about Chaim Grade?"

    א קשיא אויף א מלאך

And how did יוסף הצדיק know 70 Languages? if not from The "Malach")

חז"ל: בא מלאך גבריאל אל יוסף ולמדו ע' לשונות על בוריים

  11. There is a letter from Chaim Grade to the Chazon Ish about the am-haratzim in vilna. It appears in a book of the Chazon Ish's letters. Is that online?
