Reb Mottel Zilber is the leader of Khal Stutchin in Boro Park and a son-in-law of the Mashgiach, Reb Moshe Wolfson. How true and sweet are his words! There is a similar "vort" that is repeated in Chabad circles, where a misnaged once told a chossid that he doesn't believe in G-d, r"l. The Chossid responded: "you're right, the G-d that you believe in I don't believe in." As you can see these words were said during a Mesilas Yeshorim shiur, which Chabadniks would find very ironic... RMZ is known to be עוסק in תורת חב"ד and encourages his talmidim to do the same.

ReplyDeleteOne can receive the weekly divrei Torah of R' Motel by emailing toldosyehuda@thejnet.com and requesting to be on thei email list.Incidentally,the weekly pamphlet of divrei Torah contains both brilliant and beautiful Poilish-machshava style divrei torah and insightful divrei mussar. There is no rebbe today that I know of that has that level/beauty/geshmak of divrei torah. Can someone explain to me why don't thousands flock to him? And that's without mentioning his personal tzidkus.
ReplyDeleteSome people can give a shiur on any topic/sefer and it will invariably be about theire favorite topic, moshiach/zionism/internet/tznius etc. Others actually stick to the topic at hand, kudos to him for it!
