I once happened to meet a grandson of his, and we were discussing the zeida, and I asked him how does it happen that a person like that so totally changed his hashkofa. He answered that after the War he was broken and came to EY to start to rebuild his life, but the Munkatcher kehilla in Yerushalaim had a "rosh hakohol" who understood that if the rebbe would be there then he (the rosh hakohol)would lose his importance, so he made life miserable for the rebbe. That was the "straw that broke his back" and he just abandoned the whole rebbisteve.
ReplyDeleteStop revamping this dead man, to the benefit of his soul.
