We spoke here about the wording of the coconut oil advertisement, and how all it said was כשר. Nothing more. No מהדרין or מהדרין מן המהדרין. From this תשובה in דברי יואל we can see why this was the case.
The Hisachdus Harabonim (CRC) gives hechsherim on companies that are not heimish owned, not Jewish owned and dont even have their own mashgichim present. I know this because I work for different vaadei kashrus and the Hisachdus relies on them entirely, even when commercial kashering is involved. They dont even verify if I visited or was present at the facility, they mail out kosher certificates and label stickers, relying entirely on the other hechsher without even a simple phone call to verify. I think Reb Yoel would be so very proud.
Not to seem biased, let me assure you that, Burech Teiltebaums hechsher of Monroe is no better at all. I have had similar stories with his hechsher.
Mashgiach Shulchan Orech is only made for non Hiemishe Yiden, for the hiemishe with the wide brim hats, our sheer existence scares the hell away from all the Sitra Achras... its instant kosher. If you think different then you are not from Unzere, so we dont care whats on your mind
I cannot comment on your experiences with the CRC. i can however share my experience. I too work for other vaadim, and these companies will sometimes do a private label for the heimishe hashgochos, including the CRC. The CRC want me to be there every time production happens, and i must send them a report with all the details of ingredients etc.
