ReplyDeleteBy the way, at the time of this bar mitzvah, very few chassidus would have had the pomp and ceremony, though even fewer would have been AS simple.

the contrast to todays generation to be polite is quite amazing. quite an uplifting post.

How are they, if at all, related to the Israeli Rebbe who is a sil of the frierdige one.
Very starnge to see a BM bucHER (even rebbish) wearing a kolpik when his dad wears a spodik. Never seen that in my life.

From the comments I see it's Amshinov BP which I never knew existed! Well, it does. On 15th Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets
If this is the current rebbe's BM then where is he tODAY? He's in his father's shul, of course! You might say he's not very vocal
How are they, if at all, related to the Israeli Rebbe who is a sil of the frierdige one. The Rebbe in the pics, Reb Itzikel, was the son of Yosef, brother of Shimon Sholom, who was in Kobe and Shanghai during WW2 and passed away 1954. His son Reb Meir'l was the zeide of the current Rebbe in Bayit VeGan
