More waste of trees

Yiddish with George and Laura

From the Authors of Yiddish with Dick and Jane comes a new piece of trash that furthers the stereotype that all Jews are a bunch of promiscuous Commies who hate Goyim and basically anybody but their sorry Socialist selves. I wish these people wouldn't profane the Yiddish language with their garbage.

You'd think that living in America for over 100 years, and with the Czar no longer a threat, that these people would move on to improving themselves and focus on the threats to their existence, not George Bush.

I guess not.

א פריילאכן שמחת תורה

From COL

Just remember this:

Simchas Torah is for all Jews, not just Talmidei Chachomim ווייל אלע אידן האבען א שייכות מיט די תורה. So if you see a simple Yid dancing, don't ask him why.

Were Litvishe Yeshivos מבטל ליל הושע"ר?

No Mishne Torah

It's not a Chassidishe Zach, so why not keep it?

Segulah for a man to find his Zivug

Remove the rings from your Lulav on Hoshana Rabboh, place them in your pocket, and keep them there until after Hakofos on Simchas Torah. It's especially effective if the rings are taken from a recently (within a year) married man.

Spread the word.

A S J sees things the Tzig way!

A Simple Jew: Just Like New Coke?

My Comment there:

"Man, you stole my thunder, I was gonna post on that, I was even shlepping around the free sample they were distributing!

Of course Artscroll sets the tone and decides what's "in", so I guess חק לישראל is "out". They also made sure that (at least Parshas Bresihis) has no pieces from Chassidishe Seforim. All recent Rosh Yeshivos, yes, but no Chasidim, not even "generic" ones like the Sfas Emes.

Way to go Scherman!"

The more I look at the comment the more I like it, I should start a class on this subject......

Psst! Wanna buy a book?

You gotta love the Elephant reference here. Those mean GOPers are always looking to hurt children, aren't they?

Imagine if this nice Jewish guy, Jeremy Zilber, would've actually used his talents for something constructive, he might have brought good to this world.

I Think I'm gonna hurl.

Charedim in Meah Shearim never learn

"שיחתנו"

An English filmmaker gets a "Chelek" in Meah Shearim (Hebrew)

What is it about them that they wish to give all Frum Jews a bad name?
Maybe Tzemach can go over there and teach these guys a lesson.

I don't understand why they can't adapt somewhat to the timetable of the Breslover there. If the whole עולם davens at 6:30am please don't roll in to שיעור חסידות at 9:30am, OK?

Shazar's Rosh Yeshivah Yarmulke

Was it לכבוד Zushe Partisan, a former Novardiker? I don't believe the Novardiker wore them, maybe it was too חיצוניות'דיג for them.

Did he consider himself a Rosh Yeshivah being that he was once Sar HaChinuch?

Hungarian Jews' greatest fear:

A DNA TEST

If you are looking for that long lost relative, or if you feel that some day, someone may use a DNA repository to look for long lost relatives, you should consider doing this simple DNA test.

Y-DNA: By testing the Y-DNA, males can determine the origin of their paternal line. Note that the Y-DNA strictly checks the paternal line, with no influence of any females along that line. Females do not receive the Y-DNA, and therefore females cannot be tested for the paternal line. If you are a female and would like to know about your paternal line, you would need to have a brother or a male relative from that line to be tested.

mtDNA: By testing the mtDNA, males and females can determine the origin of their maternal line. Once your results are in, you will be compared to the data from the landmark study from Dr. Doron Behar, our Chief mtDNA Scientist, quoted by NY Times, CNN, BBC and other major media outlets. Note that the mtDNA strictly checks the maternal line, with no influence of any males along that line. Both males and females receive the mtDNA from the mother.

Y-DNA UNIVERSAL MALE TEST

The Paternal DNA, passed from father to son, tests the Y-chromosome, which is only found in males and is useful in verifying common ancestry.
A single test allows you to verify:

- if 2 males are related
- your suggested geographic origins
- if you could be of Jewish ancestry
- if you have Cohanim ancestry
- your deep ancestral ethnic origins

Price: $149

mtDNA UNIVERSAL FEMALE TEST

The Maternal DNA test is available for both males and females, to uncover information about your mother, and her female ancestors.
A single test allows you to verify:

- if 2 females are related
- your suggested geographic origins
- if you could be of Jewish ancestry
- your deep ancestral origins

Price: $129

A S J: Guest Posting From Chabakuk Elisha

What have they done to Uman?!

Why is the main Shul for Ashkenazim only? (or at least that's how they want it to be)

Why is Reb Lozer Kenig taking Pidyon Nefesh? Is he a Rebbe?

Why does a Lubavitcher say Tikun HaKloli? What does he hope to accomplish?

What will Uman look like in 5 years from now? Will Yerushalmim cease to come at all?

שששאא! ר' מענדל שלאפט

Reb Mendel Futerfas resting his weary head after a night of Farbrengen in 770 during Chodesh Tishrei. Soon he'd wake and begin another day.

Even the most rabid Lubavitch bashers had respect for Reb Mendel, - which is somewhat perplexing being that he was such a staunch דור השביעי חסיד. Was it all the white beard and Kasket? - The same goes for Reb Yoel Kahan. What I find so perplexing is that some of Reb Yoel's biggest "Talmidim" would never step into 770, even to get a dollar from the Rebbe.

How does one separate the two? How can you sit and listen to Shiurim by an individual who's Rebbe you consider unworthy?

CARACAS KIDS LIVE IN FEAR

Why the Press here in the US chose to not report this when he visited here, and made as if he gives a darn about poor people is beyond me. They trumpeted that scam about selling cheap oil to poor New Yorkers as if he were some kind of Robin Hood. Then he says that oil should not fall below $60 a barrel!

Maybe the press in the US is a 5th column?
