נפטר געווארען הרב מאיר וועבערמאן, רב קהל נתיבות עולם - "מלאכים" וויליאמסבורג

Some info - in Yiddish - on Ivelt forum

I don't know much about him. He was quite the zealous type. True to this pedigree. He was 94 years old, so he still saw R' Avrohom Ber Ilyer as a bachur and was mekabel from him. The picture is from a demonstration (in 1980?) against the State of Israel, where he spoke in English for the press. His "love" of Lubavitch was legendary. He would cross out the Rebbe's name from Chabad seforim like Tanya and Alter Rebbe's Shulchan Aruch well into his old age. Some of his children are even more extreme than him, some even joining NK.

What else?

The Malochim were thrown out of Torah Vodaas for being troublemakers. Webermans & Belskys are mishpocho.

I wonder if this is the father or uncle of Nechemya Weberman, the head of Satmar hooligan Vaad "Hatznius" who was recently sentenced to over 50 years in prison.

why was the LR's name (I assume you mean the Rebbe Reb MMS) in his Tanya and SH"A Harav? It's not in mine.

1) it didnt have to be in his. If he came across it in a shul he'd do it too.
2) the Rebbe wrote pesach dovors, heoros

Is he related to Rabbi Weberman in Miami? Rabbi Weberman in Miami is very close to Chabad. No?

he is the uncle of the infamous Nechemye,
Besides being Meshuga Ledovor Echod, he was a nice guy, and talmid chochem.
I remember him from Kaliver Kolel on division sitting and learning with a pipe.
Where did they lay him to rest?

i was by the protest where this photo was taken
He was the only Yidelle in Willi that spoke a proper english with no accent.
So he delivered the nonsense to the media.
Really, if Leshoin Akum is metame then why did he use that language...I guess the Willi tzadikim made some birur hanitzotzes for this words that was used that evening.

Someone in Eretz Yisroel has been hocking against Florida Weberman's standards in gerus. That someone is unfairly a misnaged to any kind of gerus but in Weberman's case he is on to something. There is actually a Puerto Rican ger who is an eidim by the Florida Webermans who opened a shul in Yonkers that is a bastion of doing outreach to make new gerim from Hispanics who are supposedly of Marrano yichus.

The gedolei haposkim asser such outreach as lehalacha these people are goyim gemurim.

"Webermans & Belskys are mishpocho"

AT least give them credit for being very passionate about what they do.

Another relative of Rav Belsky once famously smashed a chair over the head of a YTV board member at an official meeting.

The Torah Vodaas / Beis Medresh Elyon board member was taken to the hospital on a stretcher but he deserved it for causing a sach tzaar to the almonoh of R' Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz. R' Reuven Grozovsky couldn't be moyche because he was incapacitated from a stroke so he just sat there crying. R' Yaakov Kaminetzky yelled at the board member in anger before storming out of the room in protest. So that left R' Yisroel Belsky's grandfather Wilhelm to "take care of business".

what are the details of the story? i've heard of shul board meetings where board members stood on the table stomping their feet but this one takes the cake. whats the story without names or lashon hara?

They weren't hooligans. They stood out and SFM was afraid of losing money so he asked misnagdim from der lita for permission to throw them out. Needless to say, of course permission was granted
