Is it just me?

Needing to work Chol HaMoed is a real downer, and is bad enough on its own, but for me this CHM, nothing was as difficult as davening locally in a "minyan factory". This shul happens to have attracted all types recently, owing to it's constant Minyonim and bright new Minyan rooms, and I guess that's what makes me so uncomfortable. The fact that it's Chol haMoed only adds to the lack of comfort.

Whether it's Yeshivishe guys with 4 day beards having a "reyd", or Veise zokken shnooks with farkvetshte faces, davening in such a Minyan doesn't easy for the Tzig. Add to that the fact that I'm not vey sociable to begin with and there's a recipe for disaster.

What is it about me that I have a time accepting every Yid for who he is? Is it the fact that they don't?

sounds like you are about to snap....talk to a friend about it or a mashpia..its very hard for each of us to identify our own hindrances to clarity, but easy for another to identify...

YOU WRITE:

Thanks for confirming what the critics of Chabad have been saying for years, that we can tolerate any and every poshei yisroel - from down in the 49 shaarei tumoh.
But a frummeh yid with a non-Chabad face rankles us.

We have to train ourselves to remember that "Af al pi SHELO choto - Yisroel hu"

I don't know about you, friend, but lots of frum, Lubavitch, irreligious and non-Jewish people rankle me. Part of what rankles me is 4-day beards and "kvetches". Is that so terrible?

Let me tell you why I think hershel, (and I for that matter, if we think alike) appreciate non-frum Jews more. It's because they can at least come to acknowledge that they should grow. The frum Jew's complacency is painful to behold for someone whose job (or shlichus for Lubavitchers) it is to encourage growth. The greatest amount of agmas nefesh I have here in K"K d'Yehupitz is from the few frum Jews. Their complacency is killing this place. Yes, it's true that they are not chayav skila because they aren't driving to shul and the others are, but that turns them into "Asher Ein Chalifos Lamo", and for my purposes "Anshei Domim U'Mirma".
