Segulah for a man to find his Zivug

Remove the rings from your Lulav on Hoshana Rabboh, place them in your pocket, and keep them there until after Hakofos on Simchas Torah. It's especially effective if the rings are taken from a recently (within a year) married man.

Spread the word.

Why has nobody heard of this for the past 150 years until now?
More importantly, has anyone actually seen this written inside the cited sefer and what is the exact girsa?
