Wow! That was quite an incredible documentary. Exquisite filmography. Fantastic narration. These selections have clearly been edited, I wonder where is the original?
After viewing these segments I am left with numerous points.
1. Who commissioned this documentary, which is very favourable to Chabad. Was it Chabad themselves, but then would they allow so much talk of generic chassidim?
2. One gets a clear image of old time Chabad, and it makes one all the sadder when one realises that in all likelihood, those sort are gone forever.
3. The singing is wonderful, profound, slow, deep. Where can one find such singing today?
4. How can a chassid conduct a band of girls some of whom are clearly older than 12? The same applies to the sewing class.
5. And the biggest question of all, how did such a wonderful chassidic group degenerate into the bedlam that is Chabad today?
on the last video only the Mom betches licht I guess its not a real lubavitcher minhag for girls to light"
take a breather this is a pr video. it is definitely chabad minhag to sit after kiddush and drink the wine sitting. i can't believe people are making diyukim in this video.
HT, who is the guy on the first video singing "riboino shel oilam" i can't place him.
Anon " How can a chassid conduct a band of girls some of whom are clearly older than 12? The same applies to the sewing class." I tought this sins they only do in the new chabad?
Anon " And the biggest question of all, how did such a wonderful chassidic group degenerate into the bedlam that is Chabad today?" can you be more specific?

its just like someone saying,
"We just had Shabbos last week, We just learned Torah yesterday"
How I wish there were names on the film of each chosid like Tags
Ya I thought so too, wasn't it just posted. This couldn't have been made by a chabatsker although I like the humor.
Kiddush cup with a stand?? Husband passing the cup to wife??? the tichel?? the cup not overflowing??
I remember those days in kfar chabad very clearly ( u know how old I am) they where, good simple warm chassidishe days.
