Simchas Torah is for all Jews, not just Talmidei Chachomim ווייל אלע אידן האבען א שייכות מיט די תורה. So if you see a simple Yid dancing, don't ask him why.

But talmidei chachomim are bigger mechutonim with Tayreh.
That's where you're wrong again. Simchas Teyreh is not a Shiur, hence the dancing with the closed Teyreh and not a Shiur by the biggest Lamden. We're all equal here.
