פרשה lesson

פר׳ שלח פרק י״ד פסוק מ״ד רש״י ד״ה ויעפלו׃
אינגרי"ש בלע"ז לשון עזות

What is this "azus" that the Rashi speaks of? Is it "Azus D'Kedushah" that many groups and sects claim as their own, or is it the old-fashioned "Azus," as in "Dee Azis Poonim, Dee!" that you may have heard from your father, Rebbi, or an older person in shul when you refused to give up your seat for him. Many of our detractors, those who dislike the pure and innocent sould of Hungarian descent, would point to the latter, the Poshete Pshat of azus, but that may be more out of jealousy than of reality. My parents are very fond of the fact that their parents were frum even when others were not - which is after the Holocaust. Not that they weren't frum, but they were a bit lax in some areas of observance. Later on in life, after their children had gone to Yeshives and Bays Yankevs, all was well again, but there was a time that it wasn't. By "others" I mean Peylishe and Galitzyaners - sorry to break it to you. Having said that I can see why the P&Gs would be scornful of the Hungarians, especially if they spoke with that accent that seems to be the only form of Kosher Entertainment. The only way you can get a Heimisher to laugh is by mimicking Hungarians. What's up with that?! So lay off my people; we're tried and true. We keep it real, always have and always will be.

That's why the Rebbe surrounded himself with Hungarians.... :-)

Hirshel, The pusik itself tells you “lomo athem ovrim as pi hashem v’he lo sitzloch” when the bashefer didn’t want them to take israel by force! According to many meforshim they transgressed on the shulosh shvious ‘the 3 oats’ wich according to the gemorah in ketobus the punishment is a ‘holacoust’ c”v, so this azus was no particular hangarian-polish-galitzianar style just the current tzionistshe style by taking israel with force against the will of god and with talking chutzpah against all nations on earth! Although ‘cutzpah kelaph shmaya mehana’! but only for awhile c”v.. as the pusik says “lomo atam ovrim as pi hashem v’he lo sitzloch!’ the reda’k says that ‘in the end transgressing the word of god will end with no success ever! Rc’l..

Hungarian Jews 44-45
Polish -Galicianer39-45
This does not minimize the suffering of the Hungarian Jews, but those extra years of suffering in Poland and Galicia certainly need to be considered...

Your last sentence in the post is why people laugh at Hungarians. You guys always try and ingratiate yourself with others because you lack any self worth or spine.Though Hungarian Orthodoxy comes from a long tradition nothing has remained of it's kehillas and traditions. They've all been swallowed up by the likes of Skver and Lubavitch.Remember in school how everyone hated the teachers pet? That's why Hungarians are so reviled!.

Check all kreizen and almost without fail the fanatical, frim "naar" trying to run the show is an Hungarian.
Skver is such a classic example but it's everywhere.

But this year we learn from your own blog that it did not matter if the "others" were frum or not but what their children are today.
Indeed the all these Rebbe's in jail, going to jail, should go to jail are frum and had no "others" in their life and we see how holy they are leaking everywhere.

Anon.10:22 Please don't pretend that the Satmarer shite about the medineh is accepted by the vast majority of erliche Yidn. You are free to believe whatever you want ,but if you have any honesty you need to add that most Gedolim AFTER THE HOLOCAUST did NOT agree with this shite. Is it so hard to show some respect for those who don't agree with you?

Who are the H. the Rebbe surrounded himself with? Very few.

In the Mazkirus we are talking about Binyomin Klein and that`s it. In The top tier of Chabad they are few and rare. Hechts are G. the Krinskies likewise, a big contingent are the Polisher's from pre war Chabad in W. and the rest are all Russins as the Shemtovs, Raskin etc. The only other top tier L. is Shmuel Chefer (Gruber) however he married into top Gezha. Today we have Lazar )if you consider him something)

actually the hungarishe chazeirim do have some people to hang their hat on.
R' Chanina Schiff, gabai to 4 Gerer Rebbes, RRY of square (forgot the gabbai's name) and the many baalei tzedaka from hungary.
A prominent rov who grew up in williamsburg told me that the hungarians built the kehilla in willy. There were frum yidden there before, but building moisdos, kashrus, mikvas etc. was done by hungarians. It maybe bec the pollacks (my ancestry) lived a much harder life in europe, and the hungarians had a rachvus l'fe erech until the war, so they were able to think big.

was the Besht a Galitzayner, from Sunik or Turna?
I think Kitev is as close to Hungary as to Galicia,
What a idiot you are.
Which Genation did the Halbestam family or the Rokeach family hear the message of the Besht, the same generation as the Yismach Moshe and the Munkatcher(Bnie Yisoscher)

".Though Hungarian Orthodoxy comes from a long tradition nothing has remained of it's kehillas and traditions."
the tradition of the orthodox hungarian, is the tradition of Galicia and Poland.
It only became chasidic a genaration earlier, but The Bies Yitzcok,of Lemberg and the Chemdas shlomo of Warsaw were all non chasidim just orthodox Ashkenazic Jews, so what exactly is your point.

quoting pesukim with no chazal interpretations smells from the Karaites.

Don't forget the families Shochat, Herzog, Glick, Silberstein and many more. The most interesting fact IMHO are the many Yekkes who made it to Chabad.
