Here

A few words from a ben-bayis

Mottel has some pics and clips!

Reb Volf was hidden. What we know is nothing. I saw him several times but never learned in Montreal and never was zoche to be mekabel from him. Maybe one of his mekablim here can help fill in some of the blanks and share with those who didn't know him, and may not have heard of him.

Im currently at the levaya, it is so sad, he was the second to last member of the group that the freideker rebbe sent to montreal. He was a real pillar of the community for so many years

I have heard that he was a real ehrliche person, chaval deavdin.
Had he not become a mekisher or at least been able to stop the latest Lubavitcher craziness, he would be a lot bigger.Vechaval.

part of a obituary by 1 of the farkash brothers that was close to him

I was years ago in the Montreal Yeshiva chol hamoed Sukkos,I davened with his Minyan and I shmoozed with him after davening, he told me that in the early years the Tosher Rebbe before his own village davened in lubavich since they had then the latest Minyanim in town , The Tosher participated for awhile at his Likitie Torah Shiur after davening. One day the Tosher got so ecstatic in middle of the Shiur, and jumped up and down the Likutie Torah Brent....

it would take a lifetime to recount the details of Reb Volf's life. He was something extremely special and there is a huge amount of 'Vehachai yiten el libo'.

I was very lucky to have been close with him and I hope to update my blog - pirsumrishon.blogspot.com - with material connected with him.

I just posted a ksav yad of the Rebbe on the nusach of his wife's matzeivah which shows the high regard the Rebbe had towards him.

BDE.
I attended the Yeshivah as a child over 40 years ago and I can honestly tell you that this man was not from this world. He existed on a different plane and I felt kedusha radiate from him as from an oven.
He is from those few Yidden from pre war Europe that lived and breathed as an ehrliche yid with a constant smile even with all the troubles he had.
The loss is more for our chidren who did not have the opportunity to meet Zaddikim as him of the previous generation.
He should be a meilitz Yosher foir Klall Yisroel and usu his enormous zchuyos to help bring an end to this bitter golus.
