Am I to be silent?
There is so much to say at this time about the situation in Lubavitch Bichlal, and 770 BiFrat, so much that has been bottled up for years. Yet, for some reason I see the Chitzeynim, the leeches, who will come and suck the blood of Lubavitch for its generations. They relish every minute of it as it were their greatest enemy. So, although I see the need to vent my rage at those responsiblle for this situation, I fear the reprecussions even more so.
Some would say that I relish the fact that Ponoviezh Yeshivah is one big cinder waiting to be engulfed by the hate of Machleykes, but nothing could be further from the truth. If that would be the case I would be on the situation like a pack of wolves, reporting every single juicy detail, and believe me, there's enough material for weeks of writing. Benches and Seforim are nothing compared to pipe bobms and tears gas, and the Tzig's fingers would go numb from all that typing.
I too am of the belief that although Lubavitch is known for its Hiskashrus and for its love towards the Rebbe, we forget one thing: that people love themselves even more. They'll have anything destroyed just to see their enemy not in control, and that includes anyhting the Rebbe ever built. None of this should be new to any of you, this happened before 27 Adar and 3 Tammuz as well. This is the root of all that is wrong in Lubavitch today, and I don't just mean Meshichism. Tzemach has a thread on Sholom Ber Drizin, and much has been said there. This is where the ugly underbelly of Lubavitch exposes itself. The grudges that have been there for 50 years in this case, and in other cases for more than that, just don't go away and die. At least with him, he has some reason to have it out with Avremel Shemtov, the others are stam louses that will need to give a Din V'Chesbon one day, and I wouldn't want to be their lawyer.
Lubavitch today suffers from both Sinah that may never go away, and from so-called Ahavas Yisroel. The Shvitzers use their hate to destroy, and the feeble-minded ones, those who OD'd on Ahavas Yisroel, see no reason to do anything, and scream Ahavas Yisroel! when something is already done to eradicate the insanity. The Rebbe told us to learn from Satmar when it came to community organization, I believe this is part of their "area of expertise", we've much to learn from them. After we've learned that we'll go and learn other things from some of our other adversaries. ועוד חזון למועד

This is one of those completely depressing issues that dosn't help me get anywhere. I am disgusted and sickened. I wish it wasn't this way, but it is unlikely to change.
But as to those who, and they know who they are, take the "I am only a Lubavitcher for the good stuff" approach (ahem, CE?), I quote your old friend N who said "they have a pornographic relationship with Lubavitch." It's made up of real people, with real baggage - not some touched up perfect 2 dimensional image of humans. Vda"L
I understand your pain, but where do we draw the line of expressing our pain? do we keep quiet or do we publicize it?
Well, it happened. Its already public, and I don't think it pays to keep it off the site. Maybe some people feel better talking about it, but dwelling on this does zero for me. What is the point?
It ain't changing now, and it probably won't change during my lifetime - should Moshiach C"V not come - so I really try to dwell on positive things that help me be a better person. As to this stuff? I let the complainers complain, and the defenders defend; I hope it makes them feel like theyre accomplishing something (although, I dont know what that accomplishment is).
But that's just me.
I've seen cop-outs before, but this takes the cake!
If this were your house, and your family that was being dragged through the mud would you be silent? Then how can you stand by and watch all this happen and be indifferent to it all?
No, this isn't an incitement to violence, but I'm darn sure that if Snags would come in to 770 and do this garbage 3 times daily, and then chase shluchim away, you'd surely corral any courage you have, drop everyhting, and come running.
נטעתי לי כרמים כרמים וזיתים אשר לא נטעת. עשיתי לי ברכות מים ובורות חצובים אשר לא חצבת וגו'.
What's the meaning of this Posuk?
If you think that snags are watching all this from the sidelines, and chuckling to themselves, you are 100% correct.
It is well documented that Chabad despises all other yiddishkeit, and sees only their derech as having any merit. This is payback for all that.
JJ,
I think the police should be involved. Chrges should be pressed. Central order should be established & maintained. Will it happen? of course not. Now what?
Snag,
I thank you for your sensitivety. Having you around always reminds me why I'm not interested in joining the Livakes.
Anon: for one thing, that's an amalgam of two psukim, one from Shir Hashirim and the other from Ekev or Re'eh. Now, where are you quoting it from, that you thought it was one pasuk?
Hirshel: I just called my Attorney General and I am exploring an option of sending the perpetrators to Guantanamo.
Milhouse
someone had posted it in the "Call to action" thread. I googled it, and this is what came up. My Nach knowledge is weak.
My dear friends, radical problems need radical solutions. In practical terms this would mean:NO Meshichist rabbonim, mechanchim, shochtim etc. But since this involves too many conflicts of interest and since the divide runs through many families, I am affraid that there is nothing that can be done, except to pack up,set up shop somewhere else and bring back the real, beautiful Chabad I remember from my younger years. It's true, that 770 is/was beis chayenu, but so were the shuls of the rebbe'im in Liosna,Lubavitch,Rostov,Otwock and Warsaw. Are we in need of a shrine? Definitely not.
YK,
Should we make the Ohel the new nucleus? I have yet to see it with my eyes but I am told that Shabbasos there are quite reminiscent of days of yore.
Ponavez is just as bad.
The only shame is that like always, you chabaztkers just keep on copying what snags do!
Shame on both of you.
Both meaning Chabad and Chabad.
Snag10
There was the original Snag, then came Snag2 and Snag3. Why did you jump all the way till Snag10? Whatever happened to Snags 4 though 9?
camp runamok, again,we don't need shrines. What worked for Breslov for almost two centuries, doesn't necessarily have to work for Chabad.
I had the same question.
I assign all SNAGS their unit numbers.
What Chutzpah!
Such chaos and wreck in Chabad today, the absence of recognized and real leaders is the reason it doesn't attract baaley tshuvo anymore like it used to be. And not only this. It became almost like communism, when there are those who are trying to cover up anything that doesn't fit in the "line of the party".
There is an old Yid in Crown Heights. He wrote his memuars "Reshimas haDvorim" describing a life in old Chabad (available in Heichal Menachem). He was threatened with murder(!) because of what he wrote doesn't fit in "offical party line", and it had nothing to do with meshichistn and similar meshugasim. Such matzev freaks out many, who want to have nothing to do with Chabad because of this. Politics about everything, chitzoynius instead of pnimius (we do this, we don't do that in extreme etc.) unfortunately ruined today Chabad.
Attention all snag units - I am calling for a special hisvaadus to discuss the situation in 770.
One option being considered is to split Ponevez into two and move one branch to Crown Heights. 770 can be then renamed Beis Moreinu HaRav Schach zt"l and all traces of it's past life removed. Videos of Maran HaRav Schach will be played instead of videos of the Rebbe henceforth.
It's anticipated that many Lubavitchers will welcome the invading snag units with great friendliness after what they have gone through in recent years, despite ancient disagreements. For the die-hards that may resist, we can just feed them some kashe from Ponevez.
Good idea but the Rebbe was just seen in 770.

Moshe Yess at his finest.
FROM SHTUREM:
"I feel safer in Vietnam than in 770"
The brutal pogrom that took place Sunday night in 770 after the Shluchim banquet in N.J. caused severe injuries to many of the people who happened to be at the site at the time. One of those whose leg was broken as a result of the melee was the new shaliach in Vietnam, Rabbi Menachem M. Hartman.
I smell a Ponavez/Satmar/Lubabitch merger.
Any ideas for a name?
Hey Mispallel: you failed to mention the best line that he said
"A group of terrorists started rioting and threw everything within hand reach: Siddurim, Chumashim, Gemoros, Sifrei Maamorim, Likutei Sichos and after while they started throwing benches and tables."
Snag3 - I call you to order and order you to learn Pirkei Ovos 4:24.
What has happened with Lubavitch is a shame and not a happy occasion.
I call on all snags to observe proper snag discipline at this time.
> camp runamok, again,we don't need shrines. What worked for Breslov
> for almost two centuries, doesn't necessarily have to work for Chabad.
It works for Breslov. Chabad still have to prove it will survive without the alive Rebe and not to fall apart. Note that in Chabad today the issue of hishtatchus became much more popular and in focus, unlike earlier. Lots of people in Chabad today learn "Kuntres hahishtatchus" which was almost obscure and unknown to Chabad at large before.
When the cat's away the mice will play.
Actually, there are at least two of us who post as Snag.
I'm the clever one.
Tzigaleh,
A gevaldegeh post!! Its good to know that we think alike. Now we wait for the morons to come out and say that really they all are Mischichistim and those that got beaten did it willingly. They uncovered the big conspirasy in Lubavitch!
what is snag discipline anyway, O' great supreme commander?
And who appointed you?
a yid
you speak of Yudel Chitrik ע"ה? his memoirs ?
Yoshe
go compare Breslov of 200 years ago to today! please. It's all about Bais Rabeinu, even if only a small room compared to the great Sanctuary. After the Sichah of Bais Rabeinu SheBeBavel in 5752 it has become a de facto shrine.
HT-
In the past you've comment mined me and said that you find my writing gishmack. I hope that you will stiil feel this way after the following mareh mokom.
I'm not savvy to this or any other internal Machlaikes. But take a look at the last 7-8 comments on the "Caption Please" post from this Tuesday over at DovBear.
There you will see some intersting POVs from two Chabadniks debating and from a relatively sympathetic outsider (yours truly). I think that it is important, and creates bridges of understanding, to see how non-hostile people see the situation.
But be forewarned there will be comments in that thread that will infuriate you as well. Best to just scroll down to me, Michael and HNC.
Hello, Chaim G. I was away from the computer all day, it being a holiday and all. I'll get to it soon.
> do you speak of Yudel Chitrik ע"ה? his memoirs ?
Rights, that's him. I didn't know that he already passed away.
a Yid
Yudel Chitrick passed away last year. What kind of death threats do you speak of?
Chaim G
You still think DovBear is a Lubavitcher, and a Shliach in Brooklyn yet? I was disgusted by that post, it just shows you what taking a picture at an angle can do. The comments are vile, showing you what pop culture can do to a young impressionable mind. What and how from that post should I copy to this site?
The argument between Michael and 1/2 nut.
I never thought DovBear was a Lubavitcher, much less a shliach.
If u see my usual comments there you will see that IMO he hardly qualifies as frum.
After Shabbos, G-d willing. Lots of people at least insinuated that DovBear was a Lubavitcher. Good Shabbos.
