Hey, it's only an Esrog, OK?

HaRav Moshe Sternbuch choosing Esrogim in Kfar Chabad

I always thought he never liked Chabad, being a descendant of the Vilner Gaon and a שטארקער בריסקער, maybe I was wrong.

I don't think I've ever seen the man smile....

Are you allowed to take an Esrog from an Apikores? Does it have the same din as wine or other Mitzvos?

It's interesting that the essrogim have a visible pitam.

Usage of a Yanova-Calabria esrog is not necessarily a Lubavitch thing. There are some others makpid on it, for example, I know some Yekkes are. So the attempt to spin and make everyone who buys one a Lubavitcher of some sort is without basis.

Did he visit there and buy them as a private citizen in past years, or only when he came anyway to inspect them as part of the Edah Charedis leadership ?

If the latter, it might only be for business reasons, since they give hashgocho on them.

AS usual Tzig has no clue what he's talking about.

For the record: He is a descendant from the Goan AND the BESHT.

Do some research.

You are an apikayres.

How does me saying that he's a גר"א אייניקל make me clueless? Is that not true? At least from what I know the Besh"t part is not as publicized.

And the Apikayres line comes from where?

I'm not going to answer your questions since like I said you are an Api"kay"res.

I will tell you that as usual you are a numbnut. Being a שטארקער בריסקער would make someone purchase every single type of Esrog available.
Yanev, Chazon Ish, BADATZ, Morrocan, Teimany, California, Mexico....etc. ANY kind of Esrog.

Get a life.

Did I say anywhere that Lubavitchers are the only ones who take Calabrer Esrogim? All I said was that I find it interesting that someone who's so Anti_Chabad would go buy an Esrog from them in their Israeli headquarters.

The Badatz does give a Hechsher on Pardesim in Kfar Chabad, but I don't RMS goes there for that purpose, there are others who are in charge of Kashrus. It seems like he went as a private citizen.

Tzig:Doo leigst arop a hanocho oon fregst kasher derauf.Who said R'Moshe Shternbuch was anti Chabad or Chasidim? His father Sternbuch was a Galitziyaner, his mother is from the Lutvisheh side, though I don't recall if he is an aynekel of the Gaon or the Gaons brother.R'Moshes brother is the Dayen in Antwerp MARRIED TO THE Seret Vishnitzer z'ls daughter brother in law of hayntigeh rebbe.

Beyond all the above:Do you have to like or dislike Chabad to buy an esrog? What has it got to do with anything, anyway?

Tell me, HT, do you live in Har Nof where you may see him on a daily basis that such a statement has any meaning? Perhaps there is at least a small point in Anon's postings that you should evaluate how much Lashon Hara you are spreading, with statements like this.
And of course he smiles, he's a human being like you and me!

please stop embarrassing yourself, A Brisker would not take an Esrog if he thought that the BaaleiBatim were Apikorsim. They take Teimener Esrogim and that's about it. That's what the last Brikser Rov used because of his idea that the Teimener are too ignorant to know about grafting fruit.

Nafsheinu

It was an idea I got from way back in 5753 when the Rebbe was still with us on this world. There were posters up in Yerushalayim signed by him against the then rumblings regarding Moshiach etc.

Please refrain from recounting his illustrious lineage, where his brother is Dayan and which Chossid his BIL is matters nothing if he doesn't concurr with their views. Tell me about the man. He's not known as a Chossid. At all.

If you don't like a man you would usually not buy an Esrog from him, the same way the Satmarer don't use Israeli Esrogim.

you're a nice guy, and I wouldn't want to offend you, but this is too much.

Why is saying that he doesn't smile Loshon Horah? All I mean is that he's typical of a Litvisher, serious man who smiles little, as opposed to Chassidim.

"They take Teimener Esrogim and that's about it."

PLease don't confirm what everyone already knows, that you are a sick demented sub-human who despises anyone and anything that's not a Lubavitcher.

You have NO clue what in the Rebbes name you are talking about. Briskers buy EVERY single type of Esrog available.

Get lost. You are a SNAG-BASHER.

I'm sure the Rebbe's very proud of you.

Talking total Lashon Hara, Motzei Shem Ra against a Choshuva Adam Gadol, Mechaber Seforim and a major Posek.

Go ask him Mechillah.

You are a RASHA MERUSHA.
Just a few days before the Yom Hadin??????

I'd like to see your stupid answer to this.

Hirshel Tzig - הירשל ציג said...

WOW!

you Brisker Snags are some touchy fellows. Take a chill pill brother. Have a Happy New Year.

I still don't see the Loshon Horah or Bizoyon Talmid Chochom in the post. Can anybody point it to me?

Hirshel Tzig - הירשל ציג said...

OK

so they Korfi Esrogim too? and you said Mexican too? פסול'ע אתרוגים too? wow! what devotion to Mitzvos. Where does all that money come from? I have trouble paying for one Esrog.

Boruch Hashem that Lubavitch took you away from us.I have never read such a dumb, ignorant blog. You know nothing!
Funny thing is that apparently you show your dad this dreque??I guess he knows you well and for you this is a major accomplishment.
Till I started reading your dreque blog I had mixed feeling about Lubavitch, since then, and upon reading most of your fellow Lubavitchers posts, when I see one of your ilk I look the other way!
A bunch of ignorant soneh yisroel, kipshtoi.

The שנאה we learned from you guys, from as far back as Shanghai, and then some.

Keep looking the other way, we won't miss ya.

I never belonged to you guys, believe me, so Lubavitch didn't take me away.

Is "dreque" a French word?

Keep my dad out of this.

א גוט געבענטשט יאר to you and yours.

A cute story I once heard about Rav Sternbuch, not Chas Vesholom a "shtech".

After finishing his מועדים וזמנים Rav Sternbuch sent it to the Kliozenburger Rov z"l to receive his Haskomoh, enclosing a note saying that if he sees something already mentioned in Achronim he should know that he didn't take it from there because אין דרכי לעיין באחרונים , so it's not plagiarized.

The Rov sent the Sefer back to him with a note : "אין דרכי לעיין באחרונים"!

reminds me of another story
when the באר משה sent his sefer to the klausenberger rebbe, he sent it back with a note stating that he has kids in th house.......
